The super low frequencies set very special demands for both the tonewood and the design – and I have been fortunate on both fronts – the Deluxe-5 certainly delivers the goods.
Thermo treatment plays a crucial role in making an exceptional 5-stringed bass. The Deluxe 5 body is made of spanish cedar with thermo treated arctic birch top of your choice. The 35″ scale bolt-on-neck is made of thermo treated maple. You can choose the fretboard from our familiar options: rosewood, ebony, thermo treated arctic birch and thermo treated maple.
