Steam Classic - a no-nonsense workhorse that helps you get the job done

Steam Classic

As a music lover, I’m not usually analyzing the sound too much. I’m more into listening to the music itself. Getting into the groove. But in my profession as a luthier, I also know that with the right tools, your musical communication with your audience can get even deeper. Steam combines the best features of classic bolt-on basses with my design language, special knowledge of tonewood and a few fresh tweaks not often seen in basses. It is a no-nonsense powerhouse, that helps you get your job done better.

The Steam Classic body is made of thermo treated Finnish alder. The 34″ scale neck is sculpted of thermo treated maple. The moose shin bone nut gives the open tones of the Steam a strong foundation. You can choose your fretboard from these options: rosewood, ebony, thermo treated arctic birch and thermo treated maple.

We’re a custom shop, inside out. We have tons of options to customize the Steam Classic perfect for your liking. Please read more about tone, playability, wood species, neck profiles, frets, pickups, hardware, finishes and other options from the specifications section of this website.
