Sisu #007: Soapbar P90s & wraparound bridge

If you love the vibes of an offset electric guitar – but would rather go for fixed bridge than whammy bar, take a closer look. If you’re not afraid of a few extra toggles to make the guitar more versatile, with a couple of tones that at first sight might sound outright weird, then read further!

While we’re busy building custom-ordered Sisu guitars, we’ve reserved a few of the very first serial numbers for special stock instruments. These guitars appear on our website from time to time, each one featuring something we’ve never done before — and Sisu #007 is no exception.

The standout features of Sisu #007 are: 1) The BBBB (Bare Bone Baby Blue) colour, 2) The ABM wraparound fixed bridge with our trademark Lock-Thru-Body bushings that make the guitar super stable, and 3)  The three-pickup configuration with our Ukko & Rauni soapbar P90s – the middle pu being a customized Rauni for hum-canceling in-between positions and matched output with the other pickups. 

We’ve also modified the Sisu Switcheroo switching system to get the most out of the 3 soapbar P90s. The 3-way pickup selector above the neck controls the bridge and neck pickups. The 4 toggles are as follows: 1) 2-way Lassifier Mid-Focus toggle, 2) 3-way toggle adds the middle pu to the mix either in series or in parallel with the other pickups, 3) 2-way toggle bypasses the pickup selector and puts on the middle pickup alone, and 4) Bridge & Neck pu 60% out-of-phase – or High Pass Filter, if the neck pu is on alone. In other words: A ton of cool sounds and vibes to explore..!

Both the maple neck and alder body are Thermally Aged – a process that gives you peace of mind regarding the stability of your guitar. The neck is our Fast C profile with smooth satin lacquer – a slim shape that feels right at home for most hands.
