Petteri Sariola

What can I say about this crazy dude… He is that one-of-a-kind artist, that will drop your jaw just on that moment when you already thought you’ve seen it all. I feel so privileged and overjoyed to be able to work with guys like Petteri. No words. Hats off.

Petteri Sariola is a phenomenon, mostly known of his percussive approach on acoustic guitar. He’s a fifth generation musician and started playing the guitar at the age of 7. After countless non-functional bands he ended playing and singing by himself and eventually developed a style of his own, covering all the sounds of a full band without loops and backing tapes.

Musically in the footsteps of Michael Hedges and Faith No more, he has toured solo around Europe, USA and Japan and got over 2,000,000 hits on YouTube. Sariola has been awarded with Nokia Young Talent scholarship, Honorary Prize in the Helsinki Funk Awards, City Magazine Guitarist of the year and as the cover article of Akustik Gitarre, the biggest acoustic guitar magazine of Europe. Check out his music on his website, on Spotify or Apple Music – and buy his albums!

Beside his solo work Petteri has collaborated with Doug Wimbish (Madonna, Living Colour), Don Johnson Big Band, Felix Zenger (James Brown, N.E.R.D.), Osmo Ikonen (Sunrise Avenue), just to mention a few. He enjoys coffee and long walks on a beach. Unfortunately Finland is snowy and dim 8 months per year so you can find him traveling pretty constantly.

Petteri’s custom tailored Duke Sonic has a Spanish Cedar body/neck and Indian Rosewood fretboard. The neck profile and the custom pickguard pay homage to his old SG. The guitar is fitted with a TonePros wraparound bridge and Jason Lollar soap bar P90s.

Dead Sirius 3000

I made a little playlist showing "the other side of Petteri" - playing electric guitar with his fantastic band. Ok, there is one song with acoustic guitar too - but it's there only cause that guitar is made by my good friend Andreas Cuntz! I'm a big fan of Dead Sirius 3000. Absolutely brilliant compositions, virtuoso musicianship - and the videos are great fun. And I just love Petteri's voice. Damn! Check out this bunch and I guarantee you'll be a fan too.
