THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

At Ruokangas Guitars, we are committed to protecting the data and privacy of all our clients. We believe in open and transparent communication that puts the user needs and safety first.

GDPR came into force on May 25, 2018. We’ve kept our data safe before and we’ll keep it safe in the future – in that regard nothing has really changed. We did, however, go through our Privacy Policy and made sure it’s all GDPR compatible as part of our commitment to providing you with the best possible service. Our updated Privacy Policy will apply to all clients who continue to communicate and/or do business with Ruokangas Guitars after May 25, 2018.

Ruokangas Guitars informs the User that he/she is the owner of personal data files in which his/her data are incorporated and processed in order to provide the requested services and send him/her information about our company that may be of interest.

Legitimization of Treatment
Treatment is based on the consent requested of you.

Conservation period
The data provided will be kept until the data subject requests the deletion of his/her data. Once the data subject has been informed of the deletion of his/her data, they will be blocked and subsequently deleted from our files or returned to the owner of the data, as the case may be, of the media on which the information containing the personal data provided is collected, without the retention of copies of this information being accepted.

Communication of data to third parties
Your data will only be used for the purposes indicated above and will not be passed on to third parties, except for those communications to the Authorities, Bodies or Offices of the Public Administrations which were consented to by the interested party or person authorised by him for the proper fulfilment of the obligations arising from the services rendered, or which are compulsory or authorised by Law.

Ruokangas Guitars guarantees the confidentiality of the personal data contained in its files and will adopt the regulatory measures to prevent, as far as possible, its alteration, loss, processing or unauthorized access.

You have the right to access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data or request their deletion when the data is no longer needed. On certain occasions, data subjects may request a restriction on the processing of their data, in which case we will only retain them for the purpose of exercising or defending claims.

2. CREDIT CARD DATA
Ruokangas Guitars has no access to your credit card data. All our distance selling with credit cards is done through PayPal, who processes the payment and notifies us of the transaction without sharing credit card data of the client with us. 3. SECURITY
Ruokangas Guitars takes all the necessary precautions to protect the confidentiality of your personal data. Only authorized employees have access to the data base and the internet server where your information is stored.

4. MODIFICATIONS
Ruokangas Guitars reserves the right to modify their confidentiality politics, either due to a change in the legislation, or according to the company practice.
